“We encountered a large root ball encompassing 95% of the 12-inch sanitary sewer main that miraculously wasn’t causing a stoppage in flow. Once cleared via hydro-jetting, we observed at ¾-inch diameter root at the 12 o’clock position reaching the bottom of the pipe collecting solids within the flow. We located the break in pipe to be directly under a gorgeous 40-foot-tall magnolia tree. I heard about RootX from a trade show as an alternative to tree removal and excavation pipe repair and opted to give it a try. The material arrived quickly and with very easy to use straight forward directions. My team followed the step-by-step instructions and applied one 20-pound application seamlessly into the upstream manhole. The material expanded throughout the gravity fed pipe coating all surface areas down the pipe.
One week later, we checked the root and saw a drastic reduction in size and dismal color change in the singular root. The tree itself still flowering beautifully. We applied a liner insert to repair the pipe from the inside and averted the costly removal and excavation of a prestigious tree known throughout the local community.”
