Winter & RootX
With winter creeping up upon us, we are often asked if you can do RootX applications in the winter. The simple answer is âyes you canâ. Just because it is winter time, doesnât mean the roots have stopped growing, they are just growing at a slower rate than in the spring and fall. If you are currently having a root problem, then you definitely need to do something about it even if it is winter. If it is blocked or running slow, definitely have those roots removed then do a RootX application with in the first hour or wait about 6-8 weeks after removing the roots. If your pipes arenât running slow, then go ahead and do a RootX application to prevent any further root intrusion. Remember that RootX is maintenance tool that needs to be applied at least once a year in residential service laterals to keep your pipes flowing.
